Surviving the festival on a diet

We hit a street festival here in Northern Alabama today. Yeah, a pretty dangerous place for a dieting fat man… funnel cake… mmmm….

I was good, though. I ate a decent breakfast, 2 fried eggs and a piece of toast, and loaded up on water. I also exercised some discretion and didn’t hit an ATM before going. No, the kids weren’t pleased, but at least I couldn’t be tempted.

I’m pretty drained this afternoon. So sad, a stroll at a festival left me in need of a nap. But, if I keep it under control for, oh… 3 years or so, … I should be able to handle these things better!
