Hundred Day Head Start Diet, fitness, exercise, and weight loss

How do we diet during the holidays?

10.15.2007 · Posted in Uncategorized

iVillage UK has some common sense diet tips. We all know a lot of these, but it doesn’t hurt to review from time to time, especially a few weeks into a diet when focus and discipline begin to wane:

  1. Plan Ahead (I’m not doing a good job with this.)
  2. Choose wisely
  3. Drink a glass of water
  4. Sugar free gum (I’ve not tried this – has anyone tried gum? Perhaps just to have that chewing sensation?)
  5. Stock up on dried fruits (You favorites?)
  6. Out of sight, out of mind
  7. Watch the alcohol
  8. Be ruthless
  9. Make your own
  10. Don’t waste calories

Really, these are great tips as you head into the holiday season – Halloween, Thanksgiving, and all of those Christmas parties. Planning and discipline will be the key to getting all of us through this time.

  • I think alot of calories are taken in via alchohol. Most people do not even realise how many. So avoiding this is a big help ;)
  • oh oh oh I did the bubble gum diet a few years back... lol
loved it but my jaw was so soar and it kinda gave me a headache after a while. other than that the chewing sensation was really good for me.
